Life Skills Classes

Classes begin Sunday, June 3 from 5:15 pm to 7:00 pm for ages 13 & up, except for the Youth Blacklight Class which is for 6th graders and up. 
  • First Aid – Learn how to treat minor bumps and bruises, skin care, CPR, and other skills.
  • Car Maintenance – Learn basic car maintenance; like changing a flat tire and changing your vehicle’s oil. You will            also learn how to replace the battery, change fuses, and check tire pressure.     
  • Vegetable Gardening – Learn to plant seeds and vegetable plants as well as caring for and harvesting them. From            seed to plate, we will show you how to grow your own vegetables for yourself and your family. We will also discuss            storing food. 
  • Sewing – We will be learning to sew while also making surgery caps for children as well as weighted blankets. We               teach you basic sewing skills and a few advanced techniques as well. If you are an experienced sewer/sewist you           can help with this mission as well.
  • Cooking – Learn to cook and prepare meals for yourself and your family.
  • Youth Blacklight – Blacklight performance using white gloves. Ages 6th grade and up.
